Who We Are
At excEL Education, we envision a world where every educator possesses the knowledge, skills, and confidence to meaningfully challenge and support English and multilingual learners as they engage in the ambitious work of developing content knowledge and language simultaneously.
We provide comprehensive and innovative professional learning solutions that equip educators with the tools they need to design and facilitate effective instruction and improve educational outcomes for English learners.

Professional Learning
excEL professional learning is designed to immerse teachers in the types of collaborative and rigorous learning activities and environments they will create for their students.
Support is inclusive of and differentiated for instructional leaders as they work to create programs and practices to support teachers and students.
Coaching
excEL instructional coaching provides job-embedded support for teachers as they apply new instructional approaches with their own students, classrooms, and curricula.
By working collaboratively, educators create communities that positively change the culture and instruction for their teams and schools.
Technical Assistance
excEL technical assistance includes a range of support services tailored to your unique needs.
We work with you to identify and articulate challenges, find targeted, evidence-based solutions, and ultimately achieve positive outcomes for all students.
Our Team
Jen Blitz
Director and Primary Service Provider
Jen works with site and district teams and state education agencies across the country to substantively impact teaching and learning, and improve educational outcomes for linguistically and culturally diverse learners. She regularly supports school and district teams to enhance instruction through the collaborative development and implementation of strategic plans and through design and facilitation of professional learning for teachers, instructional support personnel, and leaders.
Jen also works with state education agencies as they develop and revise policy, programming, and standards impacting English learners. She worked directly with the Arizona Department of Education to develop the English Language Proficiency Standards, the Language Development Approach, and the Structured English Immersion Program Models. She is uniquely well-positioned to support Arizona’s educators of English Learners.
